Last night Dan and I, kids in tow, attended Amy's prayer vigil at the Cathedral of St. Paul in St. Paul. Then, this morning, we returned for her funeral Mass. The Mass is, of course, the most beautiful thing you will find on this earth. And this Mass in particular moved me in so many ways. The chant, the reverence, the Psalm reading(this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it -- Amy's favorite ... ask me or Dan about it sometime), and, of course, that we were commending Amy to God's tender mercy and compassion.
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for our dear friend. Please continue to pray for the repose of her soul. And for her husband Chris and son James who will be mourning for her until they too return home, that they will seek stenghth in the Eucharist.
