What a beautiful Sunday morning we enjoyed. The air was warm (well, you know, thirty degrees), the sky was blue, the snow was melting and dripping off the garage. After Mass, we didn't scurry to our cars as we usually do. Instead we lingered and visited for a while and let the breeze gently cool our faces.
It was so nice, in fact, that Dan and I resolved to take Ana down to our frozen pond about a mile's walk from the house after her afternoon nap.
Well, that didn't happen. Because it seemed that as soon as she awoke, clouds moved in and 25 mph winds followed.
Sigh.
Instead, we headed to the Marshall YMCA and Ana had her first frolic in a kids pool. And even though she shivered the entire time (the pool water was 84 degrees, but you know how it is if you don't keep moving), she had a great time kicking and splashing and chasing after balls. She dunked her head under the water (inadvertantly of course) enough times to know that it's not that scary, and even floated on her back a bit. But the biggest hit was going down the water slide with Daddy!
Then we headed home for some pizza and relaxing. What a wonderful day it was.
I even got to finish a little cap I'm making for wee Wambeke. It's a trite big for what will (hopefully) be a tiny little noggin, but he is half Prescott and half Wambeke so it won't be but a few weeks before the entire thing will be filled with his huge head. And yes, I did have to beg the model off Ana.
