Spring Revival.

A few years ago, Dan and I went through a few seasons of the British comedy 'Allo 'Allo, thanks to DVD Christmas gifts from my dad. We just found out that we can get them off of Netflix too, so of course Dan jumped on the net and put season three on our queue.

Well, they're on their way! Dan and I have agreed that the show is basically the same 5 jokes told over and over again. But they are 5 really funny jokes.

Here is Renee, the proprieter of a Parisian bistro, who tries to assist the French Resistance and stay on the good side of German officers.

Favorite Flicks

Don't have a clue what to put on your Netflix queue? Well, I happen to like movies a lot. It's a trait, and a desirable one I might add, that I inherited from my dad.

One of me and Dan's all time favorite movies are those by Iranian Director Majid Majidi. They are at once inspiring and tragic. Try any one of these. You won't be left thinking: "Well there went two hours of my life I'll never get back." Honestly, they make Hollywood's movies look pitiful and self-serving. This isn't the exhaustive list of his movies, just the one's we've seen and recommend.

1. Children of Heaven. About the beautiful love and sacrifice a boy makes for his sister. Second favorite!!!

2. The Color of Paradise. A widower seeks to marry again but is embarassed by his son who is blind. This one is by far my favorite.

3. Baran. This one's a simple love story between a young Iranian man and a young Afghani woman. Third favorite, but not by much.

4. The Willow Tree. This one is about a blind professor who temporarily regains his sight. But in receiving it, he sees life so different, that he wishes he had never been able to see at all. It's not my favorite, but I still liked it all the same.
