At Years End

Reviewing the past year in my mind, I'm struck by how different my life (our life) has become. Quiet moments are few, and a clean home has become more and more elusive, but our laughter and smiles have increased. And hopefully, here's hoping really hard, we have come closer to God through it all.

The last few weeks have been a flurry of last minute gift buying and making, with a lot of effort to pause and make room in our hearts for the birth of Our Lord. I think having little ones has made it a more fruitful Advent than years past. They make me slow down and be more consciencious (how the heck is that spelled?!?) in our activities and our family prayers.
