Kitten Mania!

Butterscotch is a skinny little thing again, which can mean only one thing. She had her little kittens! a barn. Seems when I was trying to get a picture of her pregnant belly on Sunday, she was in labor. That's why she was so skiddish of me, and constantly licking her bottom.

Here is the one picture I did take of her. From Sunday. A cat in labor sitting in front of the maternity ward. This was as close as she would let me come. Silly kitty.

When you find the kitties, let me know. Elena and I would love to come over and see!

On the topic of that conscience-pricker:

JPII was concerned, especially in the affluent countries of North America & Europe, about what he termed "practical materialism" and "practical atheism". Meaning, a way in which people in these countries may still claim to believe in God, but have become so consumed with this world that they live "as if God did not exist". There is a rift between their faith and their life.

Of course, balance is always required in introspection here. Money and possessions themselves are not the root of all evil; the inordinant love of them is.
