Goings on.

HooRay for 400 posts! 20 of which took four months to compose. Well, what do you do? Life changes no?

Fun (read busy) has been the game around the shire as of late. Ana has been filling her days with kitties and sunshine and avoiding the wind (which is a tad tricky). Toby has discovered the rainbow stacker game and toothbrushes, so he's good too.

Yesterday morning we had some glorious thunderstorms which always scream summer to me. It's why I love them. Is there anything more comforting than hearing the low rumble of thunder while tucked snuggley in bed? By afternoon, the rain was clearing so we decided to drive out to Camden State Park and do some exploring. What fun! Toby found out how much he loves dirt piles. Ana climbed a higher tree than she had ever climbed before. And mama got a change of scenery and a little rest. But we can't wait for daddy to come home tonight.

Sunday was Divine Mercy Sunday when we celebrate Christ's love by expressing our complete trust in His mercy. The Sunday was preceded by the Divine Mercy Novena. And at our church, we had 24 hour adoration from 3pm Saturday until 3pm Sunday ... three o'clock signifying the hour Christ died and his blood was spilled for us. I am really looking forward to when the kids are older so we can do some fun activites and teachings that they will understand better.

Speaking of teachings, two friends of mine and I are spending one day a month in New Ulm with a very generous lady named Mary Porter. Mary is a longtime teacher and trainer of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd which is a relgious education program in the Montessori method for 3-6 year olds. Mary is training us to open our very own atrium so our littlest Catholics and develop their own relationships with Jesus. I am already a follower of Montessori, but this program is simply wonderful and I am so excited to get the atrium going for all our areas children. It will be another year, at least, until that happens. Please pray for success! I have to thank Cathy Clyde for planting this seed over a year ago! Thanks Cathy!

400 posts? Really? It doesn't seem like it has been that many, but I guess Ana is already 3, isn't she?

cometed: what you did to the bathroom after 4 months of not doing it. "My bathroom was so gross, I cometed the whole thing, floor to ceiling. Now it's a soft shade of pastel green. :)"

Ha ha! Then I just cometed my bathroom today in anticipation of a gaggle of guests we're having tonight. If it weren't for visitors, my house would be a black pit.
