Tex Mex Heaven

Dan's favorite food, by a long shot, is tex mex. Lots of cheese, refried beans, and cilantro rice. A few years ago we visited Austin, Texas which is famous for it's food and especially tex mex. It was there that we got hooked on fresh flour tortillas. Dan promply gave me a tortilla press for Christmas. But after many failed attempts resulting in tough, thick tortillas, we put it away for good.

But then, I found this. Like finding the first patch of green grass in the spring, I was elated with culinary possibilities and answered questions. And what, you ask, was the first recipe I tried from this food blog from heaven?

Flour tortillas!

And they were awesome. Tender and delicious. Easy to roll out (I don't even need the tortilla press) It's the milk that makes the difference. Now, we're eating tacos at least once a week.

Ta for now!
