When I am weak ...

In this marriage, I am the weak one. I think this should be stated outright.

At least I know how to make one little girl very very happy.

This morning, we drove down to the Callens' farm to pick up 10 frozen chickens, ready for the freezer (100% pasture raised, $1.50/pound. Just had to boast.).

Anyhoo, as it usually happens, Ana found the barns cats and picked out the cutest and most amiable kitten to befriend. Sandra offerend to let her have it.

An hour later, we're driving home with a kitten and I'm trying to come up with just the right way to explain it to Dan.

Awww, how precious! Right now we're in an anti-new-cat mode, for some reason ours have been extremely under foot of late and quite irritating. But we managed to get to three! God was pretty smart when He combined soft fur, big eyes, and a purr... makes up for a plethora of feline sins! =D

If it comes down to explanation, you can bring up the "chicken chew toy" incident. Plus, the cat doesn't look like one that will use Ana as a toy to jump on & will give her the snuggle time with a critter she so desires. They're a cute pair!!

Awwww! Reminds me of how I got Peanut. Went to "just take a peek" at the adoption pets at Petsmart, and wound up falling in love with the Nut. After all, life's so much better with her and Scarlet around.
